After photographing many graduates, these are six of my absolute favorite cap and gown poses!

- This pose is timeless and flattering on everyone.
- With your senior walking away from the camera and glancing back over their shoulder, the cap, tassel, and gown are beautifully highlighted while creating a natural, joyful expression.
- Bonus points if there is a little breeze to make the gown flow!
2. Holding Their Decorated Cap High
- Every senior's cap tells a story, and I love creating a portrait that puts that story front and center.
- Having seniors hold their decorated cap high above their shoulder creates a fun, confident image that celebrates both their accomplishment and their personality. Whether they've added school colors, favorite quotes, or something meaningful to their future plans, these photos are always uniquely theirs.
- And yes, if they happen to have a Red Bull in hand because that's what got them through senior year, I'm all for including it!

- This pose feels so effortlessly senior.
- With the gown draped off the shoulders and the focus on the senior's hands, jewelry, and rings, these portraits create a modern and editorial feel while still celebrating graduation. I love the subtle details and relaxed confidence these images capture.
